The Airondacks is an area of over six million acres known for it's beautiful mountains and forests as well as hundreds of lakes and streams. There are a hundred towns or so in the Adirondacks as well as some larger towns nearby.The area is popular for all sorts of outdoor recreational opportunities such as hiking, mountain climing, rock climbing, hunting, fishing, biking, whitewater rafting, boating and water sports, and for skiing.
