About Mimosa Gallery
Mimosa is a gallery of "art for home and wear", featuring contemporary fine craft. The jewelry, handbags, fiber, glass, ceramics, etc. are by local as well as nationally recognized artists. Mimosa Gallery is one of the most respected Saratoga Springs Art Galleries.
Mimosa, located within the Beekman Street Arts District in Saratoga's historic West Side, opened in 2005 and features work by over 50 artists. Its goal is to show that "art" can be functional and should be used in our everyday lives.
In 2007, owners Michelle and Michael LaLonde expanded the space, more than doubling the size of Mimosa, allowing space to showcase handmade furniture as well as fine art. Solo and group shows of fine art, sculpture and photography will feature established as well as emerging artists from around the country.

Glitz This is currently working with tattoo lovers. A tattoo is a work of art, but unfortunately you can not preserve the original state of the tattoo as time goes on so capture that with a photograph artistically embellished, framed and ready to admire. With the photo of the violin the customer wanted the bow that her daughter used incorporated into the picture. As you can see by the video we mounted that on top of the frame and now everytime they look at the picture they will remember the days their daughter took violin.
The picture of the owl was finished with glaze, swarovski crystals and real feathers. The picture was taken at a birthday party where "Birds of Prey" was invited.
We have even attached hair to a photo from a passed loved one or a babies first hair cut and now those pho tos will be something to remember them forever.
The sky is the limit. Do you have a favorite pin? A single earring that you love? We can incorporate it into the art.
The best pictures are taken at your home, outside or anywhere where you feel comfortable, but we also have a photo studio in Colonie if that is what you are looking for.
We photograph any subject. Babies, toddlers, teenagers, proms, birthdays, etc.
