Our rustic Adirondack Chandler Candles are hand dipped slowly in pairs. Each dip produces 120 beautiful spun-silk finished candles. A carrousel is hand turned 25-30 times over a 3 hour period as wax gradually builds up to create these slow burning, drip-less and smokless candles. Our candles are pleasantly and moderately scented. |

About Bev Saunders
My work in pastels are a constant study in color, texture and the relationships of light and atmosphere. By capturing time and space in landscapes and still life, I create a sense of peace and serenity. In today’s fast paced world these qualities are hard to come by.
My landscape images are inspired by photographs of places that are special to me. I, in turn, wish to share that with the viewer.
The still life images are just that...still life. There is certain peaceful quietness in still life that engages the artist as well the viewer...a time to step out of the now and into a place which clears the mind and renews the spirit.
New to portraits of people, I am encouraged to continue my experience in rendering portraits of people, homes and animals in pastel, hoping to capture their emotional and personal nature in the traditional yet classic form.

This unique barn constructed in 1982 has a unique history. Our Silo was actually uprooted and transported to its current location from a farm in nearby Saratoga County and the two barns were raised shortly thereafter. Inside one part of this structure is a famous restaurant! It's so good, it was Voted #1 place for breakfast in the lower Adirondacks by the readers of the Post Star Newspaper. Breakfast (served all day) features oversized omelets, classic Eggs Benedict, large fluffy pancakes, huge Belgian waffles and our thick, home-baked toast. Lunch offerings boast delicious homemade soups, overstuffed sandwiches, juicy burgers, chicken creations and so much more. The Silo also has a healthy salad selection and a kid's menu with plenty of choices. |
